J&B Scotch
In the late 80s and early 90s, J&B Scotch was in a tough spot. Brown liquors were losing out. The hot spirits were the clear mixables such as vodka and rum. J&B was in a class of old blended Scotches like Cutty Sark, where a good year was a sales decline of only 3%, and keeping sales even was a victory. J&B hired Grace & Rothschild and suddenly they were on the map again, with ads that were funny, yes a little punny, but also striking and beautiful. The campaign helped steady the brand… for a while.

J&B did one of the best holiday ads of all time. In fact, it was so good that the brand continued to run it long after G&R had resigned the account.
